Award winning vocalist Trudy Kerr
On Sunday 17th May we have been truly fortunate and secured the services of internationally acclaimed award winning jazz vocalist, lyricist and educator TRUDY KERR. Trudy is renowned as one of the UK’s finest jazz vocalists.

During the morning and afternoon Trudy will be leading workshops for vocalists of all levels (now sold out). Aspiring and experienced jazz singers alike can come along and enjoy and benefit from a masterclass from a fantastic singer who is also a very successful vocal coach holding teaching posts at Trinity Laban, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Chichester University and London Centre of Contemporary Music where she coaches the up and coming vocal stars of tomorrow in various genres.
And then in the late afternoon/early evening, she will lead off a performance session with a set from herself followed by some of the Workshop singers to perform to an audience, to show us all just how well it can be done. This will be a great opportunity for jazz lovers to see a wide variety of singers performing to the highest standards. Depending on time available, there may also be opportunities for sitters in to join the house band for one or two numbers.
During the day and for the performance session, Trudy will be joined by very experienced rhythm section players Jesse Mollins (gtr) Joe Gass (dbl bass) and Eddie Kingdom (dr), to ensure that the experience for the attendees will be as good as it gets!
